Product introduction
AERECH CWDM MUX/DEMUX modules enable efficient combination and splitting of multi-wavelength optical signals in Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) networks. With up to 18 channels (20nm spaced) available in simplex or duplex configurations, these modules, along with reliable passive optics like CWDM SFP/SFP+, maximize fiber bandwidth utilization in local loop and enterprise architectures. The CWDM MUX/DEMUX modules are offered in three packaging options: ABS Pigtailed Box, Rack Chassis, and LGX Cassette.

Four Connectors Support Custom-tailored Installations
Customize the 1U Rack Mount and FMU Plug-in Module Mux/Demux with LC and SC connectors according to your needs. Alternatively, the ABS Pigtailed Module Mux/Demux offers the option to order LC, SC, ST, and FC connectors, providing even more connector flexibility.
FAQ about purchasing Mux/Demux
We bought some DWDM MUX/DEMUX from you, does it support 25G/10G or only 1G?
Yes, it can support 1G/10G/25G. Mux/Demux is a passive product which has the requirement for the wavelength but not the rate.
Does insertion loss directly affect the transmission rate of WDM systems?
No, it does not affect its transmission rate, but transmission distance.
What kinds of custom choices are offered in AERECH?
AERECH can make customized solutions based on your current link condition and the final link status you want to achieve.
I want to use the C17-C20 DWDM modules, which DWDM MUX can be an option?
C17-C20 DWDM module can be used with 96ch MUX, kindly note 96CH mux is 50hz.
Which package type can be an option?
1U rack, LGX, and ABX can be options according to your chancel quantity.
We currently have our site connected using BiDi SFP+ 1330/1270 and 1270/1330. We may need to add channels for additional equipment. What are the correct ports that need to be on the MUX/DEMUX unit to allow for the existing BIDI SFP+ connections?
1310nm port can be used for BIDI SFP+ connections
Can we run a 40GBASE-ER4 signal into that 1310nm special port? Because ER4 uses four wavelengths: 1271, 1291, 1311, and 1331 nm. Those wavelengths don't clash with anything else in the mux, but I'm curious as to whether they can pass through the filter on the 1310 port.
Yes, of course, you also can run a 40GBASE-ER4 signal into the 1310nm port because the 1310nm Port Pass Band Width is 1260nm~1360nm.
Passive CWDM vs. DWDM – Which to choose?
Generally, CWDM offers a convenient and cost-efficient solution for short distances (like 70km), low capacity, and sub-10G. While DWDM supports long-haul applications with speed protocols of up to 100G/200G per channel.
